Obituary for Chloe Beth Moore
Chloe Beth Moore

Chloe Beth Moore, 59, passed away Thursday, February 2, 1995, at the Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City after a brief illness.

She was born September 12, 1935, in Gould Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Othar and Ethel (Faith) Stephens. Beth was a graduate of the Gould High School.

On August 26, 1956, she and Weldon Dwane Moore were united in marriage at Amarillo, Texas. Chloe Beth was a longtime Rural Route Altus resident, moving from Amarillo, Texas in 1973.

Mrs Moore was a hard working lady who was co-owner of the Moore Little Feed Store in Friendship, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother.

Chloe Beth was a very friendly person who loved people. When living in Texas, she worked as a secretary for the City of Amarillo in the Water Department. She loved this job because it allowed her to be in contact with a variety of people. The same could be said for working in Moore's Little Feed Store. She made friends with everyone she met and people would drop by the store just visit with Chloe. She had a the ability to have fun in almost any situation.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents; three brother, Joe, Arvil and Edward Stephens; and by a step-son, Eldon Wane Moore.

She is survived by Weldon, her husband of 38 years; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Moore of Enid, and Ross and Jo Moore of Granite; one daughter, Christine Moore of the home; one brother, Jerry Stephens of Gould; four sisters, Dorothy Teague of Amarillo, Texas; Theo Williams, Joyce Bates and Sue Harris, all of Altus, and six grandchildren, Tommy and Dakota Moore, Kevin and Kyle Moore, Mitzi Locklear and William Moore; as well as a host of Nieces and nephews.
