Obituary for Clara Anne Inzer
Clara Anne Inzer, 91, passed away Sunday, June 8, 1997, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been scheduled for 10:30 am Tuesday, at the Blair Church of Christ with Bill Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Clara was born February 7, 1906 in Texas. She was the daughter of Will and Mary Southall and lived most of her life in the Altus area.
On February 10, 1924, Clara and Henry G. Carter were united in marriage in Blair, Oklahoma and he preceded her n death March 17, 1950. She married Gene Inzer June 3, 1972. Mrs Inzer was a life long member of the Blair Church of Christ where she was very active. She loved to garden and tend her flowers
Survivors include her children; Buddy Carter and Roberta of Ft. Worth, Texas; Henry Kenneth Carter and Wanda of Lawton, Oklahoma; step-children, Madelon Herring of Altus, Oklahoma, Buster Inzer of California, C.W. Inzer of Keene, Texas, Garland Inzer and Fran of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers Payton Southall of Blair, Oklahoma Luke Southall of Blair, Oklahoma, Cecil Southall of California, Winkle Southall of Blair, Oklahoma; sisters Bethie Kelly of Georgia, Nellie Markum of California, Doyle Norton of California, Vera Watson of Altus, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 19 step-grandchildren and 37 step-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one daughter, Bernice Roach, one son Sherwood Carter, one step-son Orin Speedy Inzer, one step daughter, Esteen Roberts, her parents, husbands, Henry G. Carter, and Gene Inzer, one brother and 2 sisters.
