Memorial service for Cleothis West, 57, Weatherford, Oklahoma, formally of Altus, Oklahoma will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. West passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
Cleothis West was born to Luther and Ruby (Wilson) West in Terrell, Texas on July 5, 1958. He grew up in Altus, Oklahoma and graduated from Altus High School while being raised by his grandparents, Jessie and Mildred West. Cleothis has been in Weatherford for the last year. He attended New Hope Baptist Church, Altus. He liked to sing, watch westerns, play basketball, read old magazines, walking and had a vast baseball cap collection. He ws a happy an content person who made a good friend. The family would like to thank his caregivers over the years, Loretta Veils, Susan Shivers, Clara Herd, Jennifer Arrandondo, Whitney Williams and the staff of Jones Health Care.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, friend, Freddie WhiteEagle and a brother, Luther West Jr.
Survivors include a twin brother, Leothis West of Washington DC; a sister, Phyllis West of Colorado Springs; a aunt, Sherry and husband Willie Dykes of Altus; a uncle, Bobbie West of Altus; a good friend, Norma Stewart and many other relatives and friends.
