Obituary for Clyde Bonnie Boyd
Services for Clyde Bonnie Boyd, age 80, have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Bee Bozarth will be officiating.
Mr. Boyd was born September 28th, 1917 in Tussy, Oklahoma to Clyde B. and Erma Mae Boyd. He married Helen Eugenia Parnell on October 22, 1979 in Lake Eufala, OK. He was a retired master mechanic for the Volvo Automobile Industry.
Mr. Boyd enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1945. He received a Purple Heart for being wounded in action while stationed in the Marshall Islands.
Clyde was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #8798, the Shriners, Scottish Rites, the Elks Club and a past Master of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and all but one of his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by Helen, his wife of almost 20 years, of the home in Mangum, Oklahoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Dave Johns of Apache, OK, Wilma and Gerald Duke of Sayre, OK and Penny and Kenneth Grooms of Marlow, OK; and by one son and daughter-in-law, Frankie and Barbara Barkley of Kennedy, TX. Also surviving are one sister, Bonnie Eldridge; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
