Obituary for Clyde Richard Taylor
Clyde "Richard" Taylor, age 59 of Altus, passed away at English village Nursing Home on July 27, 2003. Memorial services have been set for Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Melvin Johnson will officiate.
Richard was born April 24, 1944 at Wichita, Kansas to parents Clyde Delbert Taylor and Billie Louise Hicks Taylor. He grew up in southwest Oklahoma, and in 1960 entered the United States Army. He was proud of his military service. In 1961 Richard was honorably discharged and returned to the Altus area to work as a Bail Bondsman. As a Bondsman, Richard lived and worked in the Altus, Lawton and Duncan communities. He was a member of the Salvation Army and always enjoyed visiting with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Taylor. Richard is survived by one daughter, Lisa Bolles and her husband Rodney of Batesville, Arkansas; two sisters, Donna Ann Jenkins of Altus, Oklahoma and Mary "Lou" Kelley of Vernon, Texas; one brother, Wenfred Gene Taylor of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren, Kendra, Johnathan and David and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family has asked that memorials, in Richards honor, be made to the Salvation Army. The family would also like to express their thanks to Jackson County Hospice and Jan Winters and Staff at the English Village Nursing Home.
