Obituary for Clynell Key
Clynell Key, age 56, was born February 13th, 1946, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Claude Ivan and Helen Irene (Morris) McClure. She passed away May 8, 2002, in Moore, Oklahoma. She had been a life long resident of Altus, Oklahoma and Jackson County. She moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in 1992.
She attended school in Olustee and graduated with the Class of 1964. In 1992, she attended the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond for three years. After attending college, she moved to Moore, Oklahoma and made her home there.
Clynell was an avid painter, seamstress, costume designer and she loved to cook. She attended First Baptist Church in Altus for many years.
She is survived by her companion for over seven years, Russ Austin of the home in Moore, Oklahoma; her mother, Helen McClure of Altus, Oklahoma; three children, Eric Key of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Misty Holmes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Christie Wilson and her husband Todd of Haileyville, Oklahoma; two brothers, Clayton McClure of Lufkin, Texas and Dwayne McClure of Spokane, Washington; one sister, Darla Key of Granbury, Texas; and four grandchildren, Donivan Holmes, Taya Holmes, Damien Wilson and Michael Smith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Ivan McClure and one brother, Melvin McClure.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. at the Victory Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
