Obituary for Colonel Benjamin M. McClure

Funeral services have been set for 2:30 P.M., Wednesday, Rose Hills, Whittier, California, for Mr. Benjamin M. "Colonel" McClure, age 69, of Roosevelt who died unexpectedly Friday night at his home of an apparent heart attack. Born December 3rd, 1900 in El Reno, he moved to Roosevelt with his parents in 1909, attended and graduated from the Roosevelt schools. He was married in 1924 to the former Pauline Henderson of Lone Wolf. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge.

Survivors include: the wife of the home; two sons, DeWayne of Toledo, OR and Larry of Azusa, CA; two daughters, Mrs. Myrna Burns of Livermore, CA and Mrs. Carol Evans of Saugus, CA; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Chapman of Cheyenne, OK; four grandchildren.

Mr. McClure will lie in state at Lowell Memorial Chapel in Roosevelt until Monday afternoon.
