Obituary for Colonel Stillwell Guthrie
Graveside services will be held for Colonel Stillwell Guthrie, age 66, who passed away early Sunday, December 9th, 1984, morning at Sayre Memorial Hospital. Services will be at the Francis Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Mr. Guthrie was born August 3rd, 1918 at Mudsand community, Oklahoma to Colonel and Lillie Guthrie. He was a painting contractor and long time resident of Altus.
Survivors include: his wife, Willie Sadie Guthrie of the home; five sons, William H. Guthrie of Washington, D.C., Robert Lee Guthrie, John Carrol Guthrie, Rodney Glen Guthrie and Billy Wayne Guthrie, all of Altus; two daughters, Melba Joyce Donaldson of Altus and Sandra Kay Howley of Lake Placid, NY; two brothers, John Arleo Guthrie of Ratten, OK and James Elmoe Guthrie of Norman, OK; three sisters, Daisy Odirone of Antlers, OK, Ruby Fae Frells of Antlers, OK and Isabelle Simpson of California.
