Cora Mae E. McClure, age 94, passed away late Friday evening, November 17, 2006, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. McClure was born on August 4, 1912, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to William W. and Lilah (Bowers) Elswick. She married Fred McClure on October 10, 1952, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and he passed away on December 30, 1986.

A member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Mrs. McClure worked in the nursery for over thirty years. Shopping, going to church and spending time with her family and friends were her favorite pastimes.
