Obituary for Cynthia Kathleen "Kathy" Schenk
Cynthia Kathleen (Kathy) Schenk, age 96 passed away January 10th, 2019 in Elk City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday January 15, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Cory Stanley officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the directions of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Kathy was born September 1, 1922 to James M. and Jonnie Lankford in Paris, Tennessee. She moved with the family to Stinnett, Texas in 1933, graduating from Stinnett High School and later moved to Amarillo, Texas. She was employed by the Amarillo Doctors Association several years and later employed by Skelly Oil Company. Cathy married Frank Schenk July 20, 1958 in Amarillo, Texas. They moved to Altus, Oklahoma in 1970. She attended WOSC, was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francis T. Schenk husband, father and mother, four sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Stokes of Elk City, Oklahoma, Four Grandchildren; Dawn Walker, Heather Walker, Kory Killingsworth, Dillon Stokes and Great - Grandchildren; Zain Walker, Carisa Solorio, Adriana Solorio, Jayce Stokes.
