Obituary for Darlene Johnson
Our dear Darlene has completed her journey on Earth and her soul is now safe and free to live with God through eternity. She was born to Deporter and Rosezene Brown Johnson on December 13, 1952.
Darlene attended Altus Public schools and graduated from Altus High School in 1971.
She went on to become an architectural and interior designer and formed DJ Design Group of Dallas, Texas. Her most prideful accomplishment was he published children coloring book - "Dallas Leaders in Color -(Politics Book 1, Volume 1) which now is a collectors item. She retired due to illness but continued to enjoy decorating and gardening.
She loved to share her faith and encouraged others to follow Jesus.
Darlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Monica Denise Johnson; parents, grandparents, three sisters, Laura, Nadine, and Shirley, and one brother , Andrew.
Left to honor Darlene's memory are Sisters, Ruth, Judy, Betty, Rose, DeAnn, Delia; Brothers, DePorter Jr., Michael, Dennis, Dean; Step- Mother Debbie, She was dearly loved by her Aunt Thelma, who called her "Baby Doll", numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and countless friends.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 24, 2020 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home Chapel, Altus, Oklahoma.
