Obituary for Darroll Glenn Bell
Darroll Glenn Bell passed away peacefully, surrounded by his son Les and family in Tuttle, Oklahoma on June 9, 2018. Darroll was born September 30, 1933 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Leslie and Cressie (Boatman) Bell along with his twin sister Carroll.
Darroll graduated from Mangum High School on May 18,1951. He Attended Oklahoma A&M (OSU) for two years before enlisting in the Army on November 4, 1957.
He worked for the City of Mangum in the Electric and Water Departments for many years. Darroll was also retired as a volunteer fireman for Mangum.
He loved his horses, Sunday and Echo, and Gator. He also helped many others with their cattle. Darroll was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mangum.
He is survived by his son Leslie (Les), and wife Steffanie of Tuttle. Step-Children, Kathleen Dalme and husband Les of Crosby, Texas, and Bill Folsom and wife Michelle of Clinton, Oklahoma. Two granddaughters; Ashlee Ann of Petersburg, Virginia, and Casey Marie of Newcastle. Grandson, Logan McDade of Tuttle. One great-granddaughter, Brooklyn of Petersburg, Virginia. One sister Barbara Kirby of Lake Creek. He is also survived Kathy Terry, ex-wife and dear friend.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leslie and Mary Bell, his dad and step mom Cleon and Mildred Bell, Uncle Cloyce Bell and Twin Sister Carroll Kyle.
He will be sorely missed leaving a hole in the hearts of his many friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Good Shepard Hospice, nurse Katie and aid April for their compassion and patience during this time.
Services will be Thursday, June 14th at 10:00am at Greer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June, 13th from 5:00-7:00pm at Greer Funeral Home.
