Obituary for Della Mae King
Mrs. Della Mae King, age 92, of 405-1/2 E. Commerce and a long time resident of the Friendship Community, died Monday at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services have been set for Wednesday, 10:00 A.M. at the Friendship Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Madison Clinton. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born May 15, 1887 at Mountain Grove, MO, she was married at Irontown, MO in 1908 to the late Enoch King who died in 1950. They had moved to the Friendship Community in 1931 and she remained there until failing health caused her to move into Altus. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two sons, Andrew and Willie King of Altus; two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Blue of Snyder, TX and Mrs. Ora Rogers of Melrose, NM; one sister, Mrs. Lena Pinkley of St. Louis, MO; ten grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
