Obituary for Delois (Dee) Brown Henry
Delois (Dee) Brown Henry, Altus resident, formerly of Eldorado, OK, passed away on November 5, 2021, at the Magnolia Creek Nursing & Therapy Care Facility in Altus. She was 84 years old at the time of death.
Dee was born on September 2, 1937 in Harmon County, OK to her parents, Freddie Dale Brown and Letha Pearl (Taylor) Brown. She grew up Eldorado and in the Houston, TX area. She attended college for a while and married Michael Henry in 1987 in Austin, TX. Their blessed union spanned 34 years.
Dee worked as a secretary and legal assistant, retiring in 2000. She was member of Corinth Baptist Church in Eldorado and enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, basketball, volleyball, playing dominoes, and working on puzzles. She loved Christmas and spent a great deal of time collecting Christmas items to make sure the surrounding children enjoyed the festive holiday season. She will be missed by all who knew her and called her friend.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Letha Brown; her grand-daughter, Lauren Brown; and her previous husband, Marvin Brown.
She leaves to cherish her warm memory, three sons: Richard Brown, Wesley Eure, and Korington Sears; one daughter, Carolyn Henry; one brother; J.D. Brown; a grandchild: Evan Brown; one nephew: John Brown; two nieces: Beth Brown and Sheila Norville; as well as other relatives and friends.
