Obituary for Dewey Montgomery
Dewey Montgomery, age 78, of Olustee, died Wednesday at Altus House Nursing Home.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 5th, at Lowell Memorial Chapel, officiated by the Reverend Noel George. Burial will be in the Veterans Plot, Altus City Cemetery.
Born January 29, 1900 in Virginia, he was a long time resident and engaged in farming and mechanic operations. He was a Veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post #44 of Altus.
Survivors include: one son, Dickie Gene Montgomery, of American Legion Post #44; of Altus;
two brothers, Pete Montgomery of Altus and Mr. Hale Mongtomery of Everett,MA; four sisters, Pearl Montgomery of Olustee, Dora Newmanof Altus, Odessa Leonard of Altus, Lorene Pike, Ada, OK; two grandchrildreen.
