Dominga Reyna Longoria, age 86, of Altus, passed away early Saturday morning, September 10, 2016, at her residence, in Altus.
Dominga Reyna was born in Live Oak County, Texas, on March 22, 1930, to Melesio Reyna and Cesilia Sauceda. Due to becoming an orphan, as a child, she was raised by another family. They lived in many different locations until Dominga and her family moved to Eldorado, Oklahoma in the early 1960"s. They later moved to Clinton and in 1966, they moved to Altus where she lived until her death. Dominga had a hard life, but made the most of every situation. As a strong woman of Faith, she taught her children to look for the best in everything and always do what was right. There was nothing she could not do. From being a mechanic to sewing, cooking and gardening, if there were something to do, she could do it. After moving to Altus, Dominga worked in keeping house for several individuals and businesses.
Preceded in death by her parents; six children, Luis Longoria, Timothy Longoria, Sammy Longoria, Cirildo Longoria, Steven Longoria and Mary Albina Delgadillo, she is survived by ten children, Gloria Smart of Brigham City, Utah, Berta Delgdo of San Antonio, Texas, Elvida Bowen of Arizona, Cecilia Henley of Iowa Park, Texas, Maria Elena Longoria of Altus, Lucy Reyna of San Antonio, Texas, Minga Longoria of Altus, Robert Longoria of Lone Wolf, Johnnie Frescas of Altus and Ruben Frescas of Plano, Texas along with many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren other relatives and many friends.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services for Dominga Reyna will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Tovar officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery.
