Obituary for Don Wayne Armstrong
DONALD WAYNE ARMSTRONG
Don Wayne Armstrong, 56, of Olustee, Oklahoma, passed away Friday morning, May 7, 2010, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Don was born on November 26, 1953, to Richard and Patsy (Baker) Armstrong in Brownsville, Texas. He was the oldest of seven children.
At the age of 14, his family moved from Vernon, Texas, to Burkburnett, Texas, where he lived until 1998. During that same year, he moved to Altus for a short period, and then he moved to Olustee. Don loved the Olustee area. He was a true cowboy and loved to cook on his smoker and drink a few beers. He also enjoyed taking long rides on his horses around the countryside.
Don married Julie Ann Tedford on May 20, 1996 in Burkburnett, Texas. Their children instantly became brothers and sisters, which gave Don six children altogether.
He leaves behind his wife, Julie Ann; five sons, Jeremy Blake Armstrong, Chad Wayne Armstrong, Larry "Bud" Moede, Gage Moede, and Cole "Tuff" Anthony Tedford; one very special daughter, Kayla Mae Armstrong; three grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.....Raelynn Delayne Armstrong (seven years old), Chadon Wayne Armstrong (four years old), and Tessie Marie Armstrong, (Nine months old.) Don is also survived by a very special former daughter-in-law, Kristina Armstrong; his mother, Patsy Armstrong; four brothers, Jeffery Armstrong, Jimmy Armstrong, Philip Armstrong, and Charles Armstrong; one sister, Glendie Armstrong; close friends, Jerry and Tonya Dodd and Cale and Jared Dodd, Richard Ramirez, and many other friends and family.

The family will greet friends Wednesday, May 12, 2010, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus.
Funeral services for Don Armstrong will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Olustee with Bro. Terry Colwell officiating.
