Donald Alden Craddock, long-time Hollis Resident, passed away on September 21, 2022, at the Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis, Oklahoma. He was 85 years when he was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Donald was born on March 2, 1937, in Hollis, Oklahoma to his parents, R.L. and Eliza Belle Craddock. He grew up in Hollis and graduated from Gould high school. He married the love of his life, Flora Layer, in Bakersfield, CA on December 22, 1958. The following year (1959), Donald was drafted into the U.S. Army. Donald first passion in life was farming and ranching. The farm was his life and he was highly skilled in growing wheat, alfalfa, cotton and raising cattle. When Donald wasn't busy tending to the demands of the farm, he enjoyed fishing, flying above the clouds In his airplane but most of all spending time with his beloved family. Donald dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Louis Hill Baptist Church. He was a man of strong faith and believed that God was the answer to all problems. Donald served faithfully as a deacon and active member of the Faith Baptist Church and first Baptist Church of Hollis.

Donald was a great Christian man, wonderful father, loving grandfather, and generous neighbor. He was known as the "Whistler" because he whistled all the time. His kind spirit, deep devotion to his family and true concern for everyone around him will forever be remembered.
