Donald Stephen Wilson, age 58, of Altus, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Wilson was born in Greenville, Mississippi on November 1, 1957, to Edward Earl and Alice Gertrude (Jackson) Wilson. Steve moved to Altus, with his family, in the 1960"s where he graduated from Altus High School in 1978. Steve worked as a CNA for several years and later cared for his wife, Mary Jane (Bockman) Wilson, until her death. A longtime paint contractor, Steve enjoyed fishing, loved nature, the ocean and caring for his animals.
Preceded in death by his parents and wife, he is survived by four sisters, Deborah Fehr of Henrietta, Texas, Donna McGowan of Silverton, Texas, Cheryl Callander of Burnsville Minnesota and Gaye Nell Beers of Bevercreek, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Rossa and husband Rusty of Texas; two grandchildren, Jacob and Sara Jane Rossa along with many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Donald Stephen Wilson will be at 10 a.m., Friday, January 29, 2016, at the Centennial Chapel with Rev. Erin Martinez officiating.
