Donella Alphia Christian, 59 died Sunday August 11, 1991 at Altus Air Force Base Hospital.

Services will be held at St. Johns Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Bostic officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery with Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Born November 3rd 1931 in Williamsburg County, South Carolina to parents William Cooper and Maudie Presley Cooper. She married Alvin N. Christian December 20, 1959 at Hamiltion Air force Base, California. She and the family moved to Altus in February 1979 from an assignment with the Air Force in Germany. Remaining in Altus after the retirement of her husband. She became a member of the St. Johns Baptist Church. She sang in the Church Choir and served as a usher until her illness.

Mrs. Christian is survived by her husband Alvin of the home; one son Reginald Dean Christian of the home; one daughter, Felicia Renee Hodges of Fort Bliss, Texas; one son-in-law Roland Hodges also of Fort Bliss, Texas; two grandchildren, Joathan Christian and Anquenette Hodges; six brothers, William Cooper of Wilmington, North Carolina; Samuel Cooper, Miami, Florida, Theodore Cooper, Edward Cooper, and Norman Cooper of Harrisburg, Pa.; a half brother Napoleon Cooper of Kingstree, South Carolina; four sisters, mary Warren of Kingstree, South Carolina; Queen wWhton of Harrisburg, Pa.; Sallie Whitehead of Pemberton New Jersey; in laws include Dr. James Christian, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Johnnie Christian, Kansas City, Mo.; Dr. Charles Christian, Baltimore, Marlyand; Willie Christian, Washington, D.C.; Herman Christian, Fort Lee. Virginia; Joseph Whitehead; Leola Cooper, Tensie Cooper, JLeenois Cooper, Vivian Cooper Cleter Christian, Onedia Christian and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs Christian was preceded in death her parents, one brother, two brother in-laws and one sister-in-law.
