Obituary for Donna Rae Elkins
Donna Elkins, a resilient and beloved soul, passed away on May 4, 2025, in Bullhead, Arizona, at the age of 76. Born on August 17, 1948, in San Diego, California, to Raymond Henry Tank and Cora Mae (Marion) Tank, Donna's journey was marked by intelligence, independence, and a deep love for her family and community.

Raised in Southern California, Donna and her family relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1964 and graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1966. She embarked on a dynamic career, working for C.L. Braun in oil refinery, where her sharp mind and dedication flourished. It was during a refinery project that she met the love of her life, John Elkins. The couple married on June 29, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and built their first home in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Donna's pursuit of knowledge led her to study business administration at UCLA, further cementing her reputation as a driven and capable professional. Over the years, Donna and John's careers took them to Houston, Texas; Billings, Montana; and Tyler, Texas, before returning to Ponca City, where they retired in 1994. They later settled in Mangum, Oklahoma, enjoying a peaceful retirement. Donna was a devoted member of the First Methodist Church of Mangum, where she formed lasting connections within the community.

Known for her strength, wit, and warmth, Donna cherished time with loved ones and embraced life's adventures. In her later years, she moved to Bullhead, Arizona in 2022, to be closer to her brother.

Donna is survived by her brother, David Tank (Cindy); nieces Rachelle Gustason, Rebecca Tank-Petrroni, and Jennifer Tank; and six adored great-nieces and nephews: Kimberly, Kaitlyn, Emily, Dakota, Taya, and Aryanna. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Elkins, and her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Riverside Cemetery in Mangum, Oklahoma. Donna's legacy of resilience, kindness, and intellect will forever inspire those who knew her.

*In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the First Methodist Church of Mangum or a charity of your choice in Donna's memory.*

*"A life well-lived leaves footprints of love and strength in every heart it touches."*
