Dora Newman Findley was born October 9th, 1903 in Olustee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Amos and Hattie Scott Montgomery. She was a life long resident of Altus and Jackson County. Her parents moved to Oklahoma in 1900 in a covered wagon. She was a nurse for many years before retiring in 1985 and a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hollis Newman, and her second husband Everett Findley. Graveside Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, November 1 1997 at the Altus Cemetery with Bill Osborne officiating. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dora is survived by one brother, Pete Montgomery and one sister, Odessa. A son, Lee Findley of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Three Grandchildren, Richard Findley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Terry Lee Findley of Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Renee Mills of Cleveland, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
