Obituary for Douglas Dewitt Miller
Douglas Dewitt Miller, 73 of Altus, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 11, 1926 to Luther and Effie (Cadwell0 miller in Oklahoma City, OK. He spent his boyhood days in and around Eldorado. He was inducted into the United States Army August 22,1945 and discharged January 29, 1947. On December 11, 1960 Douglas and Bernice Elder were united in marriage. He lived in California several years working for and retiring from a grocery chain. After the death of his wife he returned to Oklahoma.

survivors include his mother, Effie Beach of Altus; one aunt, Bessie Cofer of Lawton; one uncle, Don Caldwell of Hollis and several cousins and lose friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
