Obituary for Douglas Plummer Ellingwood
Douglas Plummer Ellingwood, 83, of Altus, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Doug was born December 13, 1928, in Hanover, New Hampshire, to Harold Earl and Eleanor (Plummer) Ellingwood. He married Dela Mae Coyle in 1966 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He spent the next twenty-one years in the United States Air Force working as an electrician. He was stationed many places throughout the country. His wife Dela preceded him in death in September of 1984. He married Klyda (Mitchell) Hollen on November 28, 1988, in Altus. Doug was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1971 in Pampa, Texas. He lived the last forty years in Altus, which became home to him and his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and three brothers, Doug is survived by his loving wife, Klyda Ellingwood of Altus; one daughter, Brenda Cribbs; a granddaughter, Burgundy Cribbs, both of Altus; a brother, David Ellingwood and wife Mary of Oswego, New York; a sister, Norma Dashnau and husband Don of Oswego; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Memorial Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Eldorado Cemetery with Ray Jolin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory of Altus.
