Obituary for Earline Austin
Earline Austin, age 69, of Altus passed away Wednesday, November 10, 1999 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 10, 1930 in Altus, Oklahoma to Charlie and Mary (Hall) Hill.

Earline and James Austin were united in marriage January 18, 1965 in Vernon, Texas. James and Earline made Altus their home for many years. She had worked as a Home Provider for the Department of Human Services for many years. Earline was a longtime active member of the New Hope Baptist Church of Altus where she served as an usher. Earline was truly devoted to her family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm Monday, November 15, 1999 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Bostic officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, James Austin of Altus; two stepchildren, Donna Kay Scott and husband Reginald, of McCloud , Oklahoma, Paula Kennedy Altus, Oklahoma; three brothers, Charles Hill of Altus, Oklahoma, Alfred Hill of Altus, Oklahoma, William Turner of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Jeweline Hill and husband, Lonnie of Altus, Oklahoma, Larentta Hamilton and husband, Jerry of Altus, Oklahoma, Romona Filer and husband, Martin of Galveston,
Texas; ten grandchildren; one special grandniece, Sharon Fuller of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one child, and one step-son.
