Earnest "Butch" Rogers


Ernest "Butch" Rogers, 51, passed away Thursday, July 8, 1993. Services are scheduled for Monday, July 12, 1993 at 10:00am, in the Lowell-Tims Chapel. Rev. Carl McCoy will officiate. Interment will be at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Mr. Rogers was born January 5, 1942 in Buckeye, Arizona to Luke and Ruth Rogers. He moved to Altus in 1952 and has been active in the community ever since. He served on the City Council for several terms. He organized the Annual Christmas Parade for several years. He was a member of the V.F.W. He is survived by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Earnest is survived b y his step-son, Skipper Brown of California; stepdaughter, Debbie Brown of California; sister Barbara Stoner of Montana; step-brother, Bobby Kizziar of Germany; Vera Willis Rogers of the home.
