Obituary for Echra T. Henderson
Echra T. Henderson, age 86, of Altus, Oklahoma, was born August 20th, 1910, in Quinlan, Texas, the daughter of the late Whit and Lena Virginia (Pettus) Tally. She came to Altus in 1988 from Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Henderson passed away Wednesday, December 4th, 1996, in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 1996 in Restlawn Cemetery with Rev. Dave Brummett officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
On March 17, 1946, she and Orville Henderson were united in marriage at Vernon, TX. He preceded her in death June 5, 1987. Mrs. Henderson was a beautician for many years.
Survivors include: one brother, Marlin Rush Tally; one niece, Marlene Jones of Altus, Oklahoma; two nephews, Norm Tally of Tulsa, OK and Carl Tally of Tecumseh, OK; along with several grand-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; a sister, Ara Artie Tally, 1918; her husband, Orville Henderson, June 5, 1987; a brother, Glen Tally; and a sister-in-law, Hattie Tally.
