Obituary for Edgar Truman Evans
Edgar Truman Evans, age 76, long time Altus businessman, died at the Southwest Medical Center in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 P.M., Monday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery Veterans Plot with Full Military Honors.

Evans was born September 28th, 1916. He lived in the Humphreys area until World War II when he joined the U.S. Army where he served in the Phillipines. After the war, he was Post Master at Humphreys prior to moving to Altus, where he operated several businesses. He was a member of the VFW and was baptized into the Church of Christ.

Survivors include: one daughter,Jeanne Reti of Ventura, CA; two grandchildren; a number of cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by: his parents.
