Obituary for Edith Lorraine Bishop
Edith Lorraine Bishop, 74, passed away Tuesday 28,1995, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June, 1920, in Elmer, Oklahoma the daughter of the late Van E. and Viola Belle (Scott) Estes.

Edith was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. She was the Salutatorian of her of her 1936 graduating class from Altus High School.

In January of 1942, she and J.C. Bishop were united in marriage at Clinton, Oklahoma.

Edith served as Ombudsman at the Altus House Nursing Home for over 12 years, She was a loving sister and aunt.

Mrs Bishop was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.C. and two sisters, Mary Lou Egar and Elinor Wills.

She is survived by one brother, Van E. Estes of Sierra Vista, Az., four sisters, Juanita Biddy of Okemah, Oklahoma; Dorothy Maxwell of Altus, Imogene LeVick of Blair and Betty Ruth Estes of Olympia Washington as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
