Obituary for Edith Walker Alonzo
Edith Walker Alonzo, age 65, Roosevelt, died Sunday at Elk View Hospital, Hobart. Services will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the Roosevelt Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roy Wilburn officiating. Burial at the Roosevelt Cemetery will be under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Survivors include: two sons, Jesse Stroud of Snyder and Thurman Stroud of Roosevelt; four daughters, Mrs. Louise McNeil, Mrs. Jack Sursa of Roosevelt, Mrs. richard Martin and Mrs. David Mills, both of Hobart; six brothers, Carl Barns, James Barns of Roosevelt, Ray Barns and Gene Barns of Cordell, George Barns of Hobart, Tom Barns of Waterloo, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Ernie Iverson of Borger, TX and Mrs. Lyde Crow of Dumas, TX; seven step-children, Wayne Walker, Leland Walker and Lillie Jenkins of Hobart; Dale and Gale Walker of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Sherman Clark of Borger, Texas, Sherman Walker of Angleton, TX; 27 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
