Edmund Bremer (Eddie) 71, died Sunday at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services are scheduled for Tuesday at 2:00pm in the First Baptist Church, Eldorado officiated by Bro. Wade. Burial will be in Eldorado under the direction of Lowell Funeral Lowell Funeral Home

Mr. Bremer was born October 13, 1919 in Lockett, Texas to Henry and Dorothy Bremer Schindler. Mr. Bremer was a veteran of World War Ii where he had been a prisoner of War of the Japanese for 34 months. He received the Bronze Star. Mr. Bremer had lived in Eldorado for 26 years where he was a self employed farmer.

Survivors include his wife Jessie Ray Bremer, Eldorado, Oklahoma; children, Rita J. Burrell, Norman, Oklahoma; Floy Doughton, Grand Prairie, Texas; Jerry Hammonds, Tucson, Arizona; David Hammonds, Grand Prarie, Texas; brothers, Ernest Bremer, Wellsville, Kansas; Joe Bremer, Larend, Kansas; John Bremer, Amarillo, Texas; sisters, Alvena Raines, Hayesville, Kansas; Eunice Dalton, Palm Springs, California; Elaine Merritt, Guthrie, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Mr. Bremer was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Bremer, two sister, Dorothy Brown, Lillie Mare Grimes. Mr. Bremer was also preceded in death by his wife of 12 years, Gladys Miller in 1957.
