Edna Faye Steen was born
September 25, 1900 at Campbell, Texas to C.C. and Mary Elizabeth Steen. She died July 5, 1993 in Altus, Oklahoma. she moved to Boswell, Oklahoma at the age of 5. She attended elementary school and high school in Boswell and has a degree from
Southeastern State University. She taught school in Antlers, Spiro, Wilburton and Boswell. She and her sister, Alleen taught in the El Paso public school system. After her retirement in 1968, she moved to Altus where she was a member of the Altus First Baptist Church.

Services are scheduled or 10 am Wednesday at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. The family will be receiving visitors at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.

Mrs. Steen is survived by nephew, Rick and Carol Steen of Altus; two great nieces, Melissa and Meagan Steen of Altus; one sister-in-law Mrs. Fred Steen of Blair, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Steen was preceded in death by parents, two sisters and three brothers.
