Obituary for Edna Louise Hall
Edna Louise Hall was born January 21, 1934, and died April 3 at the age of 85 years. Her parents were Chester A. Richeson and Ruby Esther Richeson She was born at their family farm near Eldorado, OK. She married Billy Roy Hall on March 28, 1953, and was the mother of two children, Michael Dan Hall, and Linda Louise Hall Daschle.
Louise, as she was known, graduated from Eldorado High School and earned her A.A. from Colby Community College. Along with being a pastor's wife for over 50 years, she served as a foster parent to over 50 children. She retired from the Oklahoma Department of Human Services as a social worker in 2008 after 20 years of service. At the time of her death, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus. She accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was 13 and was baptized in Sandy Creek near Eldorado. She loved working with young children, especially teenagers and worked with them in the church as long as she was able. In her later years, she began to write Christian poetry and many of her poems are on a website and have been published locally.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Hall, one son, Michael Hall, one brother, J.Carl Richeson, one sister, Jolene Crowder, and a foster son, Charlie Davis.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Daschle and her husband, Senator Thomas Daschle, their children, Kelly, Nathan and Lindsay, and six grandchildren, all of Washington, D.C.; two grandsons of the late Michael Hall, John Adrian Hall and Matthew Dan Hall, and a great-granddaughter, Madeline Hall, all of Kansas. Other survivors are a foster daughter, Pamela Davis Smith and her family of Oklahoma City; one brother, John Everett Richeson and their families, including many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for the funeral conducted at Lowell Tims Funeral Home in Altus, OK are John Adrian Hall, Matthew Dan Hall, Randall Crowder, Johnnie Richeson, Jimmie Richeson, Steve Babb, Lynn Stroud, Billy Bob Wilson, and Darin Smith.
