Obituary for Edward Garfield Newcomb
Edward Garfield Newcomb age 87, of Altus, Oklahoma died January 26, 1969 at Park Lane Manor Nursing Home in Altus. He was born October 15, 1881 in Tennessee. He married Lucy Little August 25, 1925 in Altus. He had been a resident and retired farmer of the Altus area for the past 60 years.

Funeral services for Edward Garfield Newcomb are scheduled for 2:00pm January 27, 1969 in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Rev. C. L. Abercrombie and Rev. Ronald Ledbetter. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Edward Garfield Newcomb is survived by his wife Lucy of the home in Altus; one daughter Mrs Edna Hubert, Belton, Texas; one step-son Bill Little, Altus, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother Van Newcomb, Chattanoogo, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Bertie Dameron, Gould, Oklahoma.
