Obituary for Edward M. Stephenson
Mr. Edward M. Stephenson, age 87, of 310 E. Liveoak, died Friday at the Veterans Facility in Sulphur, Oklahoma.

Funeral services have been set for 10:00 A.M., Monday at Lowell Memorial Chapel, officiated by the Reverend Larry Eisenberg and assisted by the Reverend Clayton Hughes. Burial will be in Altus City Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born August 30th, 1888 in the Headrick/Navajo community, he was the son of the late L.B. and Phoebe Stephenson who homesteaded in that area in 1887. He was a Veteran of World War I.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Laura of the home include: two sisters, Mrs. Gene Yates of Altus and Mrs. Lettie Green of Grand Junction, CO; one step-son, Maxie Bearden of Walters, OK; three step-daughters, Mrs. Veta Busby of Altus, Mrs. Joe Soonyers of Snyder, TX and Mrs. Charles Townsend of Yukon, OK.
