Edward Sterling Lacke age 83, of Altus, Oklahoma died March 4, 1965 in Memorial Hospital in Altus. He was born August 26, 1881 in Bonham, Texas to Henry Clay and Sarah (Edwards) Locke. Edward worked for the band in Elmer and Olustee, Oklahoma until he retired in 1962. He then worked for Watkins for 20 years. Edward had been a resident of Jackson County since 1901. He married Zodie Pruett March 27, 1910.
Funeral services for Edward Sterling Lacke are scheduled for March 6, 1965 at 10:00am in the Tims Chapel officiated by Rev. Gene Garrison. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Edward Sterling Lacke is survived by his wife Zodie of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; one son Pete Lacke, Altus, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild three brothers, Roy Lacke, Altus, Oklahoma; Clay Lacke, Altus, Oklahoma; Clarence Lacke, Corpus Christe, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Thomas, Sulphur, Oklahoma; Mr. Virginia Saloska, Fairview, Oklahoma.
