Obituary for Effie C. Johnston
Mrs. Effie C. Johnston, age 71, lifelong resident of Eldorado, died at her home Thursday of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services have been set for 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Eldorado Church of Christ officiated by Bill Osborne and assisted by Jim King. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born July 29th, 1910 at Eldorado she was married at Medicine Lodge, KS in 1931 to the late Ruphus Lee Johnston who died in 1980. She had lived in Eldorado all of her life with the exception of short periods of time in Arizona and Quanah. They were engaged in farming and she was a retired beautician. She was a member of the Eldorado Church of Christ.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert Johnston of Eldorado and George Johnston of Wilson, OK; one brother, Riley Taylor of Tipton, OK; two sisters, Georgia Odom and Mary Springer both of Eldorado; seven grandchildren.
