Obituary for Elizabeth Josephine Gregg
Jo Gregg, age 80 passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born January 1, 1923 at Paris Texas to Neal Duncan and Ali (Campbell) Duncan.
On February 8, 1947 in Altus, Oklahoma Jo and Thurman A. Gregg were united in marriage. Jo had lived in Altus for over fifty-six years.
She was a long time member of Gamma Mothers Club, sponsor for the Day Club at Altus High school, she was also very active with the P.T.A. organization at Wilson Elementary School in Altus where her sons attended. Jo was a long time member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ. She was a primary bible class teacher for over thirty years.
Jo's life revolved around her family and friends. Jo truly loved her Lord and people, and would never say no to anyone in need. She will be truly missed by all those who knew her.
She is lovingly survived by her husband Thurman A. Gregg of the home in Altus, Oklahoma, four sons, Danny Thurman Gregg and wife Lisa of Nashville, Tennessee, Joey Shane Gregg of Wichita Falls, Texas, Nicky Darin Gregg and wife Kim of Lebanon, Tennessee; one daughter Eva Geske and husband Grant of Grand Junction, Colorado. She is also survived by one brother, James W. Duncan of Lawton, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren, Shane Gregg, Lee Gregg, Mallory Greagg, Skylar Gregg, McKenzie Gregg, Cassidy Gregg, Cody Gregg, Duncan Gregg, Carson Gregg, Maggie Jo Gregg, colt Gregg, Gage Geske, Nolan Geske, Laine Geske.
Jo is preceded in death by her parents; Neal and Ali Duncan.
Funeral services for Jo Gregg are scheduled for Friday, December 26, 2003 at 1:00 pm at Elm and Hudson Church of Christ with Bill Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery
