Obituary for Ellis Cox
Ellis Cox, age 83, passed away Friday at the Hardeman County Memorial Hospital in Quanah, Texas. Services have been set for Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in the Eldorado First Baptist Church, officiated by The Reverend Kenneth Coleman. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born March 8th, 1903 in Clayton, Illinois, he was the son of Charles and Clara Cox. Mr. Cox was a veteran of World War II having enlisted in the Army August 18, 1942. He was discharged in 1944 in California where he went to work for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Corporation for 30 years. Upon retirement in 1981 he returned to Eldorado to make his home.

Survivors include: one sister, Alice Combs of Eldorado, Oklahoma; two brothers-in-law, Bill Davenport of Anaheim, CA and Wesley Curtis of Louisiana; one sister-in-law, Judy Cox of Eldorado and a number of nieces and nephews.
