Obituary for Ermalinda Gomez
Ermalinda Gomez, age 49, of Altus, passed away October 22, 2001. Services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, are set for 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at the Templo Sinai Spanish Assembly of God at 805 N. Blain in Altus. Rev. Joe S. Tovar will officiate and interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery.
A vigil service will also by held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening also at the church.
Ermalinda was born to Rodrigo and Belia Gomez on September 28, 1953 in Dorrill, Texas. She was a very dedicated member of her church and participated in many activities there including being a prayer partner, a member of the Women's Ministry and a nurse's aide for over 30 years. She also liked crafting, cooking and riding around but, to her family always came first. She took pride in her children and grandchilddren and took care of each of them faithfully. She was a loving person and always looked out for the needs of others and will be missed by all her family and friends.
She id preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one son, Jimmy Carbajal.
Her survivors include her children, Roy Carbajal and his wife, Amy of Altus, Oklahoma, Linda Rios and her husband, Ruben of Altus, Oklahoma and J.D. Carbajal. and his wife Cynda of Altus, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, R.J. June, Joey, Snow and Derena Rios, Deserea, Star, Roy Jr., Jimmy and Angelo Carbajal; her sisters, Lupe, Bertha both of Fort Worth, Texas and her brothers, Ted, Rodrigo Jr. and Manuel all of Fort worth, Texas.
