WEATHERS

Ethel Mae "Maw Ethel" Weathers, age 75, of Blair, passed away Saturday evening, March 18, 2017, at her son"s residence, in Blair.

Mrs. Weathers was born in Van Horn, Texas on April 19, 1941, to Otis George and Lillie Mae (Rowe) Jacobs. Growing up and graduating from Van Horn High School, she married John Joe Weathers on September 24, 1960, and they lived in Lubbock, Texas, Slayton, Texas and Duke, Oklahoma where John drove a truck. John preceded her in death on October 31, 1972, following a motor vehicle accident. After his death, Ethel and the children lived in Friendship and in 1982, they moved to Blair where she worked in the City Clerk"s Office and the EZ Stop. Ethel loved rocking on her porch, growing plants and fishing.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Rodney Joe Weathers, in 2000, she is survived by one son, Michael Weathers and wife Kelly of Blair; two grandchildren, Camron Williams and wife Sydney of Goltry, Oklahoma and Braylen Joe-Ray Weathers of Blair along with many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Ethel Weathers will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Navajo Cemetery with Brother Joe Poulin officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, of Altus.
