Eula Mae (Carney) long age 63, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Friday, January 1, 1999 in Altus. She was born May 14, 1935 in Quinton, Oklahoma to Sampson and Dena (Millls) Carney. Eula had lived in the Altus and Jackson County area for over 45 years.
On December 15, 1958 Eula and Ray Long were united in marriage at Vernon, Texas.
She had worked at the Senior Citizen Mea Site in Altus for over five years before retiring. Eula enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother Edna Carney of Altus, Oklahoma, husband Ray Long of Altus, four children; Malissa Mardis and husband Robert of Altus, Oklahoma; Raymond Long and wife Lisa of Chillicothe, Texas, Georgia Amore of Altus, Oklahoma; Marie Logsdon and husband Jim of Granite, Oklahoma; two brothers, David Carney of Madison, Tennessee, Jimmy Carney of Altus, Oklahoma, three sisters, Ann Conn and husband Bob of Vannuys, California, Dorothy Carney of Altus, Oklahoma, Rose Whitte of Arizona, nine grandchildren, Barbara Jeanine Mardis, Joshua Mardis, Elizabeth Mardis, Jordan Long, Dylan Long, Waylan Long, Amanda Logsdon, Jessica Logsdon, Sarah Logsdon.
She is preceded in death by her father, Sampson Carney, one daughter, Debra Lee Pearson, granddaughter, Christi Mae Pearson.
