Euta Mae Garren Paulk, 90, of Altus died Sunday June 6, 1993 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been scheduled for Wednesday, 10:00am at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Foreman and Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Burial will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Mrs. Paulk was a long time resident of Altus Oklahoma. She was born March 26, 1903 at Osage, Texas to John W. and Lillie Carter Garren. She married Ralph Foster in 1925 at Martha, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death January 4, 1965.

She was a 40 year retiree of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She began working when the operator answered "Number Please" and then made the connection on the manual switch board.

Mrs. Paulk was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church for many years.

Mrs. Paulk is survived by sisters, Lessie Brown, Salinas, California; Lavelle and Clayton Tinney; Lucille Garren; Lorene and Joe Hutton; two grandsons, Norman Paulk and Jimmy Paulk of Portland, Oregon; one granddaughter, Judy Paulk of Seattle, Washington; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Foster in 1926; second husband, Joe m. Paulk, January 4, 1965; one step-son Demoy Jack Paulk.
