Obituary for Eva Lee Jones
Eva Lee Jones, 81, of Elmer, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, March 30, 1999 at the Grace Living Center in Altus. Eva was born January 27, 1918 in Romance, Arkansas to Andrew James Witt and Lillie Bell (Laird). On August 18, 1935 in Headrick, Oklahoma Eva and Alva Lee Jones were united in marriage. He preceded her in death May 16, 1995. Eva was a member of the Hess Baptist Church.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel, with REv. Melvin Moody officiating. Interment will follow at the Victory Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Eva was preceded in death by her son Alva Jr.; husband, Alva Lee Jones, Sr.; grandson, Jesse Jones; her parents; one sister, Allie Blackburn, three brothers, Paul Witt, Henry Will, Albert Pilgram; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Jones; one son-in-law, E.A. Eaves.
She is survived by five children, Albert Jones of Elmer, Oklahoma, Penny Jones, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Joy Clemmons of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Janey Edwards and Kenneth of Forest Hill, Louisiana, Myrna Richardson of Winnemucca, North Virginia; one brother, Andrew Witt of Houston, Texas; one sister, Ruby Perry of Altus; grandchildren, Lee Jones, Madison Jones, Molisse and Everett Le Roy Welch, Michael and Kenny Edwards, Melissa Brady, Mirinda Cushing, Billy Eaves, Jimmy Eaves, Patrick Eaves, and Lois Evalena Felder.
she is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
