Evelyn Atherton Stephens was born February 17, 1922 in Durant, Oklahoma. She died June 7, 1993 at High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She married T.V. Stephens in 1951 at Archer city, Texas. She had been a resident of Altus and Jackson County since February 1957 having moved her from Wichita Falls, Texas. She worked with her husband, T.V. at Clicks Studio for several years. She served as the Executive Secretary for the Jackson County Red Cross from 1976 to 1989. she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was member of the Professional womens Club for many years.

Services are scheduled for 11:30 am Wednesday at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Ken Pate officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at 6 pm Wednesday in Wolfe City, Texas. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.''

Mrs Stephens is survived by her husband T.V. Stephens of Altus, Oklahoma; children, Richard Woodson and Sue of Amarillo, Texas; Irene Ackerson and Rex of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; Loyd Stephens and Judy of Oologah, Oklahoma; Janice Blain and Kenneth of Borger, Texas; brother, Martin Atherton of Greenville, Texas; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by her mother and father, one brother and one sister.
