Obituary for Evelyn W. Scoggin
Funeral services for Evelyn W. Scoggin, age 77, of Altus, Oklahoma, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 1992 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery. Elders David Locke and Darryl Barnes will officiate.
Mrs. Scoggin passed away September 17th, 1992 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born June 29, 1915 in Pikesville, TN to William and Anna Wheeler. In 1934 she married Fred Scoggin in Olustee. She was a housewife and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include: her husband, Fred Scoggin of the home; a son Dr. eddie B. Scoggin and his wife Melba of Bogalusa, LA; a brother, James H. Wheeler of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters, Imogene Baggett of Oklahoma City, OK and Jeanetta Kessel of Sumter, SC; three grandchildren, Susan Malone of Dallas, TX, Scott Scoggin of Slidell, LA and Steve Scoggin of Mandeville, LA; two great-grandchildren, Amy Wethey and Christen Wethey of Dallas, TX.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Roy Wheeler.
