Mr. Everett Earl Hopkins, age 62, of 214 S. Jackson, died February 1st, 1980 in the morning at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Born June 15th, 1917 at Davis County, Iowa. He was a Veteran of World War II having joined the United States Army in May 1941. He was the son of John and Sarah (Bridgeman) Hopkins.
Funeral services were set for 2:00 P.M., Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Altus, officiated by the Reverend C. C. Gober.
Survivors include: two sons, Elmer Hopkins of Iowa and J.G. Ryan of Frederick, OK; one daughter, Pam Winters of Altus; five brothers, N.E. Hopkins of Drakesview, Iowa, Sherman Hopkins of Bloomfield Manor, Iowa, Ernest Hopkins of Drakesview, Iowa, Milo Hopkins of Bloomfield, Iowa and Carl Hopkins of Drakesview, Iowa; two sisters, Dovie Bailey of Drakesview, Iowa and Zella Garner of Drakesview, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
