Obituary for Fannie Holmes
Mrs. Fannie Holmes, age 93, long time resident of Jackson County died Monday at her home in the Hess community.
Memorial services have been set for Thursday, 2:00 P.M. at the Thomas Street Church of Christ, officiated by W. M. Lynch. Burial will be in Hess Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born August 2nd, 1878 in Brownwood, Texas, she and her husband, the late J.T. Holmes, settled on a farm in the Hess community in 1918.
Survivors include: one son, T.D. Holmes of Roswell, NM; four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Hunter of Hess, Mrs. Ina Henslee of Pharr, Texas, Mrs. Thelma Beach and Mrs. Georgia Lehman, both from Mission, Texas; 14 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Mrs. Grace Durham of Norman, OK, preceded her in death in December of last year.
