Obituary for Floretta Maxine Hughes
Altus native, Floretta Maxine Lewelling Hughes, age 45, died Wednesday, October 26th, 1988, at her home in Olustee. Services are set for 2 p.m., Sunday, at the Lowell Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Everett Smalts officiating. Burial will be in the Navajo Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hughes, the daughter of J.E. and Modell Estes Lewelling, was born on November 7th, 1943 in Altus, Oklahoma. She attended school at Friendship and went to high school at Mountain Park. She had lived in and around Jackson County most of her life. She married Vincent John Jarozewski and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker and she spent most of her life caring for the sick and elderly. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olustee, Oklahoma.

Survivors include: her parents, J.E. and Modell Lewelling of Tipton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mileta and James Meli of Blair, OK and Arvella and Ray Wall; four nieces; three nephews.
