WEAVER
Floyd Glen Weaver, age 68, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 17, 2016, at the Weatherford Regional Medical Center, in Weatherford, Texas.
Mr. Weaver was born in Altus, Oklahoma on February 18, 1948, to William Lee and Betty June (Harris) Weaver, while the family was living in Mangum. A 1967 graduate of Mangum High School, Floyd married the love of his life, Frances Darlene McClendon on May 1, 1969, and they spent the next forty-seven wonderful years together before his untimely death.
Due to Floyd"s job, they lived in many places through the years. In 1971, they moved to Dallas, Texas where Floyd worked with the MKT Railroad. In 1973, they transferred to Frederick, Oklahoma and in 1976, they were moved to Smithville, Texas where they spent the next seventeen years. During that time, Floyd"s job was acquired, in 1988, by Union Pacific Railroad. In 1994, they moved to Weatherford, Texas where Floyd retired on February 18, 2008, and lived until his death. In his spare time, Floyd enjoyed working on his acreage and helping his neighbor care for his property.
Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Timmy Weaver and Cecil Weaver and one sister, Dollie Scoolcraft, he is survived by his wife, Darlene, of the home; one brother, Dale Weaver and wife LaWanna of Smithville, Texas; three brothers-in-law, C.T. McClendon of Mustang, Oklahoma, Don McClendon of Apache Junction, Arizona and William Lee McClendon and wife Donna of Altus; two sisters-in-law, Virda Huffines of Maysville, Missouri and Hattie Sue Ball of Boone, Iowa; five nieces and nephews, Darla Isaak, Amanda Weaver, Kelsey Weaver, D.W. Weaver and Jennifer Roe along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Floyd Weaver will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Greer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Callins and Dale Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
